ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂ.೧೯,೨೦೨೬: ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌರ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಕೊರತೆ ಇದೆ. 2011ರ ಜನಗಣತಿ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಈಗ ಪೌರ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ ಈಗಿರುವ ಅಂದಾಜು ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಪೌರ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರನ್ನು ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಚಿವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ವಿಕಾಸಸೌಧದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ 13 ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಯತೀಂದ್ರ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದಿಷ್ಟು..
15ನೇ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಅನುದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ಖರ್ಚಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿ, ನಗರದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
13 ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 97 ಇಂದಿರಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಮಂಜೂರು ಆಗಿವೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ 93 ಚಾಲ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇವೆ, ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 2, ಬೀದರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ 2 ಬಾಕಿ ಇವೆ. ಬೇಗ ಆರಂಭಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆಹಾರದ ಗುಣ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಬೇಕು.
ಅಮೃತ್ ಯೋಜನೆ-2ರಲ್ಲಿ 42 ಕೆರೆಗಳ ಪುನಶ್ಚೇನಕ್ಕೆ 231 ಕೋಟಿ ಅನುದಾನ ಇದೆ. ಬೇಗ ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಕರೆದು ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
ಬಿ ಖಾತಾ ದಿಂದ ಎ ಖಾತಾ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ತ್ವರಿತಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆಸ್ತಿ ತೆರಿಗೆ 463 ಕೋಟಿ ಬಾಕಿ ಇದೆ. ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
ನಗರ ಚಾಲೆಂಜ್ ಫಂಡ್ ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 4400 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಇದೆ. ರೂ. 3900 ಕೋಟಿಯಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಉಳಿಕೆ ಅನುದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಜನಾ ವರದಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ, ಕಲಬುರಗಿ, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ಧಾರವಾಡದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಿತ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಎಲ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಟಿ ಕಂಪನಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳು ನಿಗಾವಹಿಸಬೇಕು, ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಬೇಗ ಮುಗಿಸಲು ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕು.

Bengaluru, June 19: Urban Development Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah on Friday chaired a review meeting of the 13 City Municipal Corporations at Vikas Soudha and assessed the progress of various urban development initiatives.
During the meeting, the Minister noted that all City Municipal Corporations are facing a shortage of pourakarmikas (civic sanitation workers). He pointed out that the existing workforce has been sanctioned based on the 2011 Census, whereas the current population has increased significantly. He directed officials to initiate recruitment in accordance with the present population requirements to ensure efficient sanitation and civic services.
Reviewing the implementation of the 15th Finance Commission grants, the Minister instructed officials to fully utilise the unspent funds for urban development projects without delay.
Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah also reviewed the status of Indira Canteens across the 13 City Municipal Corporations. Of the 97 sanctioned canteens, 93 are operational, while two each in Mangaluru and Bidar are yet to commence operations. He directed officials to make the remaining canteens operational at the earliest and to conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of food served.
Under AMRUT 2.0, an allocation of ₹231 crore has been made for the rejuvenation of 42 lakes. The Minister instructed officials to expedite the tendering process and implement the projects without delay.
He also directed officials to accelerate the B-Khata to A-Khata conversion process and stressed the need to improve property tax collection, noting that ₹463 crore remains outstanding.
Reviewing the City Challenge Fund, the Minister said that projects worth ₹4,400 crore can be taken up under the scheme. While proposals amounting to ₹3,900 crore have already been submitted, he instructed the remaining municipal corporations to prepare and submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the balance allocation.
The Minister further reviewed the World Bank-assisted drinking water projects being implemented through Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Belagavi, Kalaburagi and Hubballi-Dharwad. He directed the respective City Municipal Corporations to closely monitor the execution of works and extend all necessary cooperation to ensure timely completion of the projects.
The meeting was attended by Urban Development Department Secretary B.B. Kaveri, Managing Director of KUWS&DB Dr. Mahesh, senior IAS officer Selvamani, Director of Municipal Administration P.N. Ravindra, and other senior officials.
